Emails to SV & Haller

Subject: [Absence]
I'm taking a few days of leave. Nothing serious, but I should be back by the beginning of next week.
Cheers,
Betsy

And by planned, I mean I intend to pack sometime between now and my flight -- which just happens to be at an ungodly hour tomorrow morning. I'm sorry if this ruins any possible plans for the weekend that hopefully included the ideas of you, scones, and coffee in bed but I made a promise and I have to keep it. Maybe when I get back....?
I'll call when I land.
Luv,
Betts.

Don't worry about it. There's been a little drama this week and I completely forgot that tomorrow Amanda's going to help us combine the force of the weekend bus trips with the force of education, which I have the feeling as battles go is doomed from the start. But that's okay. School experience. Anyway, breakfast arrangements will be a lot easier to make when you're back and I'm not twitching in a corner.
Be safe. Call if there are tentacles.

Believe me, I won't. Who would've guessed I'd be trumped by kidlets? I always say if the ominous feeling of bad things are upon you - hide in a closet and wait for said feeling to pass. But since you've already made plans, do try and keep all your bits attached.
Will do. Can I call if there are no tentacles?

All I do I do for the children. You know that. The kids are actually pretty good, and we'll have backup. I think Forge had a free day, and Lorna's got opinions on my ability to pull off something like successfully placing lunch orders, which is fair. I . . . don't actually know what Amanda's deathwish is, but it might have to do with trips the last couple weeks being kind of a mess. And maybe the fact the alternative is filing. But she's volunteering and got experience keeping the kids under control, so I think it's okay to exploit her for a little.
Except I'm starting to get the impression she and Lorna don't really . . . like each other.
Yeah, you can call without tentacles. I always like those, but you have to keep your goals attainable.
