Miss Collins came forward and presented the story about the dog knocking the vase over. High marks for believability, and I'll bet if I asked any of the three of you, I'd get the same story.
However, it kind of misses the mark for accuracy. Kind of like those little rubber balls that were batted around by some hooligans running like banshees through the halls.
You might want to read through the little handbook that gets passed out the first day of every school year, the one with the nice color pictures of the school? That bit on the inside of the front cover that says, and I quote:
There's some other information in there that might give you a clue as to why I ask that you treat this house with a bit of respect. You might not give it to me, you might not give it to your teachers, but you will respect this home.
Don't worry about trying to fix the vase. And I'm not going to ground any of you or sit you down in front of the headmasters or the Professor. Far as I'm concerned, the matter's closed.
I'm disappointed in the three of you.
