You've got a driver's licence, don't you? Feel up for taking the bus run for me on Saturday? I've got a wedding in Germany to go to.

Amanda,
I wish I could help, but I do not have a driver's licence. It is shocking, I know. I have been thinking about taking lessons, though; perhaps I should go ahead and see about starting lessons. I am sure that I can find a willing victim, I mean, brave soul who is willing to be inside of a car while I am behind the wheel.
Incidentally, how was last week's bus run? I know it must have taken time and courage for you to decide to start the bus runs again. I am sorry to have missed it, but perhaps I will go on another one.

You don't? What did you spend your extra two years in Attilan doing? ;) Looks like I'll have to see who else is up for it - actually, if I tapped Forge, would you be willing to go along as back-up? Security and all.
Funny thing is, last week's was nothing special at all. Just back to the usual. Which is how it should be. Life's too short for wibbling, as Doug puts it.

Amanda,
I am willing to go along, but Forge is the one who is in charge of security, not me. Is actual back-up required?

It's part of the new security conditions - someone, preferably an X-Man, but with long-range powers, is to go on the run every week, to make sure what happened last time won't happen again. Even though there was the whole "happened in under a minute" aspect. *wry* But I know I'd feel better about asking Forge to take the run if I knew there were a couple of people on board with butt-kicking potential.

Amanda,
I am not an X-Man, but I do have long-range powers. Of course, I was on the last infamous bus trip and was, I believe, the first person on the bus to be tranqualized. Obviously, no one on the bus or at the school was expecting such an attack and none of us were prepared to act immediately in a defensive capability. I doubt that something such as what happened earlier this year will happen any time soon, but I will remain on guard this time.
I disagree with your assessment of Forge, however. He does have "butt-kicking" potential; the man simply chooses, for whatever reason, not to utilize all of his capabilities.
