I apologize for the need to disturb you, given your own situation, but I am afraid that I find myself needing your assistance in a very delicate matter.
The team has been involved this week in the retrieval of a mutant from an Iranian nuclear facility targeted for destruction by Israel. Our involvement in this operation was at the invitation of the Mossad - a favor, for previous services rendered. Though the mutant in question was retrieved safely, the operation did not go quite as planned and I find myself preoccupied with the situation of our stranded team members.
This man does require further assistance, however, and I don't wish to neglect his needs. He comes originally from Afghanistan; I was hoping that you might be able to make use of your contacts there to help him return home. Please let me know if this would be a possibility.

Date: 2008-01-25 05:37 am (UTC)Hardly implying. Because of the nature of the situation, retrieving them in what I must unfortunately term the customary way is not feasible. None of our usual sources of aid will be providing it; we knew this prior to the beginning of the operation, and all involved made the decision to accept those risks. There are other options that can be explored, but my first priority must be to locate them telepathically and ascertain their condition.
As for our rescuee, he has a rare and potentially exploitable mutant ability, thus the need to resettle him in a safe location. Please let me know if you can be of assistance.

Date: 2008-01-25 04:07 pm (UTC)It will take a little time, but it shouldn't be a problem finding a new home for the mutant, although I doubt he will be able to go back to Afghanistan.
I would strongly advise making any more raids into Iranian territory at this time, however, as tempting as that may be.
I understand that the speed is of the essense here, but if you could give me a little time (and their location once you ascertain it) I will attempt to find an acceptable resolution to the situation.
Let me make some calls.
