Subject: And all the world is gone mad
I return from a restful weekend in the curiously unpopular outside world and find the journal system straining beneath the weight of mass psychosis. Or at least that portion of it allotted to Laurie's post, the replies of which I ceased to read halfway through in fear of my sanity. From that brief perusal I have gathered:
1) Laurie continues to dislike drinking.
2) All others continue to dislike Laurie's dislike of drinking.
3) Jen and Amanda dislike one another for reasons unknown to me and, apparently, Jen, although Amanda appears to have given the matter a bit more thought.
4) Everyone has far too much free time.
Have I missed anything?

I shall remain sequestered thus until... well, until I leave for an ungodly early Monday class, I suppose. Jennie's being the queen of double standards, Amanda's being all double-double-toil-and-meddling, and Laurie's secondary mutation of Flaming Prude is emerging with a vengeance. Apparently her last dose of Spaniard wore off.
Frankly, I rather enjoy their ire not being directed at me for once, so I am content to watch the fireworks. The least they could do would be to settle it through a water balloon fight or something.

Agreed. I for one am not inclined to venture an opinion, lest all their terrifying powers combine to turn upon my hapless self. Considering all involved parties equally likeable in my own opinion, I myself see little reason they should experience such strife with one another. I have been informed on several occasions this is not generally accepted as Earth Logic, though I can't imagine why.
Er . . . and while I will almost certainly regret this, what precisely did you mean "her last dose of Spaniard"?

Ah, I speak of the wonderful judgement shown by Laurie around the time of the last Prom, when she decided that it would be the height of responsibility to attend with Manuel. Which apparently did not turn out well, enough so to ruin my night when a rather enjoyable post-event plan was waylaid by a weeping Laurie. What with Manuel being, well, Manuel, it's not hard to deduce the cause.
But then again, anyone who goes there pretty much deserves what they get. It's not as if folks haven't been warned.

. . . I thought to ask how I could have missed that, but the question does not even qualify as rhetorical. No need to speculate. Rest assured I am well aware of the less than flattering answer.
As for Manuel, could we not get into the subject of his habits, both real and supposed? Besides, I would judge the indisputable reality of an interruption to an evening with Crystal more than sufficient cause for irritation.
