I woke up this morning to a large, seemingly healthy rat nesting in the Kleenex box on my nightstand. It doesn't seem to have any fear of me and, in fact, is covetously eying my breakfast as I type.
Would you happen to know anything about how it arrived in my suite?

Catseye does not know but Catseye will make it go away if GrumpyPointyEars wants it to go away!

Things I know:
-He's incredibly cute
-He's a he
-You need a roommate
-Rats make very good pets and companions
-He looked so lonely!
-He already knows how to ride around on someone's shoulder
-It's incredibly easy to get into your suite after you've been drunk and muttering off the door code instead of giving me your key to get you in bed
-You need something to love you when Daniel and I don't have you against a wall...
-He needs a name.

Thank you for the offer, but I can get rid of it myself if need be. I'm more interested in how it got here.

PS:
I've just become aware of the shoulder-riding trick. It nearly resulted in me putting a hole in the ceiling.

He's not vermin, don't call him that! He's a very sweet and affectionate rodent. You needed a pet in your life.

Hahaha. I don't think anyone would appreciate the hole. Glad you managed to avoid it. He just likes traveling and your legs are so much longer than his own!

The rat is a pet? Does this mean the NotVermin is off-limits for snacking?

Yes, NotVermin is of the pet variety and not the eating variety. He is what you would call domesticated, like Kurt's dog. If you find wild rats you can snack on them, just not on the NotVermin whose bed is the Kleenex box next to Jean-Paul's bed.

And like PastramiBringingGirl's piggy. Catseye understands! Thank you for telling Catseye, WrongNamesWoman! Catseye will not eat NotVermin. Catseye is not allowed in GrumpyPointyEars's room anyway because it is for his privacy but Catseye will not go in and eat NotVermin either.

Thank you for not eating NotVermin. He really needs a name that isn't "NotVermin." (Hint hint Monsieur Beaubier!)

NotVermins do not need names, no. Catseye is very certain that NotVermins do not get names.

NotVermins definitely get names, because they are NotVermins instead of Vermins.
