Morgan,
The vermin is now named Jenner. It seemed the kindest of the available options.
I'm heading north on the 24th and will be gone through the 27th. I'll need you to look after the rodent while I'm gone.

Mi Corazón,
Jenner? Is there a reference I should be getting there? Do I want to know what the other options were?
Sure, I can babysit Small-And-Fuzzy. He can help me keep my idiot suitemate in her bed. I wonder if I can train him to bite Laurie any time she tries to leave the suite.

It's a reference to a book: Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH. You might be a bit old for it now. The other options were Templeton and Freddy.
Thank you. I'll deliver his cage and food to you on Wednesday night.

PS: Maybe that plan will work if you dip her in peanut butter and sunflower seeds first. Otherwise, I don't think he'll pay her much mind.

Wednesday night works for me. I'll make sure Catseye definitely understands the no eating the NotVermin rule before then since she is allowed in my suite.
"The rodent" and I will cuddle and bond in your absence. And I'll tell him blackmail to use against you.

P.S. Stop shooting holes through my plans, it's not polite.

My sincerest apologies. I shall do my best to conform reality to your specifications in the future. Are you busy tonight? It is late, but we might still find some fun/trouble to get into.
Speaking of books, I picked up some peace offerings for Catseye when I went to get Jenner's supplies. I'm trying to decide if I should wait until Christmas or just drop them off.

Thanks, I would appreciate it. Really, reality should always conform to my wishes and specifications but somehow it manages to resist some days.
Tonight? Well, I was considering my bed but I can be talked out of that.
Does Catseye really get Christmas? Just wondering, what with the serious cat-bent on her life outlook. Is it Christmas to her or just lots of tinsel to attack?

Fun doesn't have to be so far away. Late night snack and hard cider to chase? You do not even need to be Daniel for it.
I honestly have no idea. I am trying to decide between saving face where the holidays are concerned and the possibility that she might feel left out. Though I suppose she'll have plenty of gifts on the actual day.

Can I be Aoife? No, she isn't even a potential trouble maker. Guess that leaves me just wearing me. There's always Harry's.
Leave them for her on Wednesday morning and then she gets to decide if they are presents or not?

Harry's would be good. Or I can cook for you. Either way is fine by me.

Staying in might be nice. Besides, I'm already in PJ pants and they are supremely more comfortable than actual pants.
