Subject: Extra Training

You know what happened in Hungary with Trask. I need to know if there's any kinda way for a non-telepath or non-psi or whatever to keep a psi/telepath outta their head so it makes them harder to influence or slow the attacker down long enough to get a solid hit in.

Fair warning, Dayspring and I had words so I'd appreciate it if you pointed me in a direction other than him.

And color me completely unsurprised about the 'words'. I noticed that the need to work on this didn't come up in your mission report. I was actually going to give you a few more days and then have some words with you myself.

I wasn't aware each and every mission report was supposed to include a personal evaluation, too. I said what happened: she got in by head, I took a shot at Dayspring and Forge's arm got in the way. We all went down, she got away. End of that particular chapter.

And like I told Dayspring, I needed time to myself to figure things out for myself. I don't like being forced into things, especially things that already make me damn uncomfortable.

A name or time or place or something would be great instead of just a "yeah, there's a way."

Mission reports always involve self-evaluation. I see I need to have you read more of them.

So let's see. You want help, but you don't want it from Cable, because you had words, and you don't want it from the Professor, because... he's the most powerful telepath in the world and the one who can teach you better than anyone else on the planet?

I asked for help because I know I need it and know that after Dayspring all but called me a racist, it isn't gonna go well if that help is coming from him. The Professor's a busy man and probably has much more important things to put up a grunt like me being the most powerful telepath in the world and all.

I'm sorry, but "I don't want to work with so and so" only flies with me if you have an actual reason why it might impair the learning process.

So in other words, no Cable = fine. No Charles = requires a little more than the self-effacing crap you just gave me.

Why would you settle for less than the best training available? If he doesn't have time to work with you - and I seriously doubt that's going to be the case - he'll let you know. Then we can talk about Jean or Haller.
