I just saw the post about Adrienne. I'm currently working with a special case patient right now for the next few days but if you need anything--covering comms, etc., let me know.

Charles,

I was wondering if I could get your advice on something. I know someone who is presenting with symptoms that I suspect may have an psionic cause.

He was first admitted as my patient we have since gotten into a closer relationship. During that time, he confided in me that he has powers. He appears to be a low-level telepath but seems to be suppressing his powers.

When he was admitted he seemed to display fatigue, muscle pain and weakness, and vomiting. Initially, after a few days of observation, he seemed to get better but he was recently re-admitted, with a worse reaction than before. I know the cursed emerald that the others were investigating isn't the cause because he isn't wearing it or has it in his home.

Have you heard or seen any instances where telepathy can manifest with symptoms other than ones centered around the brain? I have run every test I can think of.

I would appreciate and welcome any insight you might have.

Thanks,
Jean

Bobbi,

A few members of the medical staff, including myself, have noticed people checking into area hospitals with boils on the skin, difficulty breathing, and vomiting. They're being treated and released, but come back with the same symptoms--only worse.

The only connecting factor between them seems to be that they're mutants. There's not a specifically localized area. A few of them are from District X, but they're also all around the city as well.

There are a few theories floating around as to the case, but I suspect it might be some kind of poison or foreign contaminant.

Would you and XFI mind looking into it? I'd be happy to get with the rest of the medlab staff to see what other information we can give to you.

Subject: Afraid you'll have to miss me this summer...

Hi,

Hope this is not gonna be a problem this summer, but after a long assessment last week I've been admitted to a nurse-to-paramedic bridge program in NYC. Between my shifts at the Claremont and the schooling my time in the medlab is going to be tight.

I'll start riding as an EMT-B for a few weeks, since they want to double check if I am up to date on my alphabet soup (ACLS, BTLS, TNCC, PALS, ECRN and even my CEN... Like the Claremont would let me work if those were not up to date).

Hey Doc, any word from the assault victims? I was gonna pass around the proverbial hat to see if anyone else wanted to donate but I figured I should ask first.

{1/2} Got a moment? We've someone prancing around who thinks he is a leprechaun... throwing around fake gold.

[2/2} Cannot give him anything since he used halluciogenics and he's not violent. Can you 'wander' by to help me 'convince' him to stay in bed?

A few of the med crew are headed out for beers after our shifts. You up for it?

[1/2] So...right after you left...He slimed me. Green...vomit...everywhere. Not sure what he was eating but apparently it was festive.
[2/2] Guy's out like a light though.

Would you mind taking my shift for tonight? Got back from a mission and it was a little rough. Also, coincidentally, would you be able to write me a prescription for a couple of days worth of ketorolac?

Subject: A thought I had...

Just an idea I wanted to float by you gals... In Rapid City I've taught the Certified First Responder course a couple time and in the army as a medic I was responsible for the Combat Lifesaver training. How about combining some elements from these two into an advanced first aid course?

I've been thinking about this of and on ever since that whole bus thing last year where the Cho kid ended up doing an emergency tracheotomy from a video... Not that I want to teach them that, but folks here seem to get stuck in in the mud a lot.

Thoughts?

Hi Jean,

You work at Claremont Medical Center, right? With my nursing license finally being transfered, I am looking to pick up a few shifts and Claremont was looking for staff. What do you think of the place?

Thanks,
Sharon

A card is provided saying the following:

I drank away Valentine's Day and therefore spent copious amounts of money, just for you and whoever else I remembered. Much love, W.

PS: You're actually my favourite.

The professor is cutting his trip short and will be back tomorrow morning. He'd like to take a look at us all to make sure there aren't any long-term effects. If you feel like there's something acutely wrong please let myself or Emma know and report to the Medlab immediately.

So, uh, turns out we need to make a little trip to the Great White North for, uh, Reasons. Emma got...a bit of a psychic whatever. That we need to check out.

(Doc Jean, you're invited along because the message Emma got strongly indicated that there's some kind of experimentation/torture/whatever going on that might require medical attention past the sort of field bandaging that any of us can do)

So...yeah. Briefing to follow.

So, as I was perusing my texts, I realized I was inappropriate a few weeks ago.

No wonder you haven't responded to any of my cat pictures. They were really cute too.
