Nori,
I see that you will be turning eighteen on Wednesday and I am hoping that you will allow me to put together dinner for you by way of a birthday gift. I know it is the first day of school and we will likely all be busy, but I am perfectly willing to wait until your schedule allows for it, or meet earlier if you prefer. Being a decidedly poor telepath myself and of the opinion that birthdays should be more about the wishes of the person being celebrated than the ego of the gift-giver, I am leaving the menu entirely up to you -- whatever you want, I will see that it shows up on the table.
Sincerely,
Jean-Paul Beaubier

Julio and I are going to Mama Lupe's on Wednesday but if you're cooking I demand sushi this weekend. Real sushi. Fresh. Sea urchin and octopus totally required.
Thanks,
-Nori

Is sea urchin even in season? I will have to check. Aside from that, your wish is my command, as it were.
