Things are pretty much normal here - nothing's blown up recently, but we did get our weekly drama in the form of Nate disappearing for the weekend. Which is something I wanted to talk to you about. He says he went off to meet someone, someone from the people who trained him, and the next thing we know is he's gone for the whole weekend instead of just the night. When he does turn up, he's looking pretty rough and someone's been using him as a pincushion. Not to mention the stab wound. And he don't remember anything much about it. The worst part is it don't seem to worry him that much, like it don't matter. I think someone's been messing with his head.

I dunno if there's anything you can do, or how much you know about these people (more than me, I'm guessing), but if there's anything you can do to find out what the hell is going on...?

He's okay now, but I don't like this at all.

Glad you liked the pendant. Consider it a down payment on much future spoiling. I really have too much money just sitting in my Swiss and Cayman accounts... what's the fun of having it if you don't do anything with it?

Anyway, onto the serious stuff. I talked to Moira today and she filled me in on what they know. Which isn't much. I won't lie to you, and I don't believe in sugar-coating things, so, yes. Someone has almost certainly been fucking with his head. If nothing else, the fact that he's apparently not freaking out and bouncing off the walls is enough to tell me that.

There's not much I can do, unfortunately. Between Moira and Charles, Nate should have the help he needs to deal with whatever they did to him this time. I'm going to be seeing him shortly (he and Moira are going to be on Muir for a few days next week) and then coming back with them after, so I'll be around for a while to keep an eye on him. With these bastards, it's always damage control.

There's nothing much to like about it, but try not to worry too much. He's alive and they don't have him... that's about as much as can be expected under the circumstances.

Ta, Dom, for being straight with me, and for letting me know I ain't being paranoid. Nate ain't told me much, but it's more than he's told a lot of people here, I reckon, and even that was enough to worry me. I know Moira and the X geezer will do what they can, but I feel better knowing you and his other friends know what the score is as well.

I'll watch him from this end, do what I can to help. See you when you get here. :)
