I keep a very firm and distinct line between my professional and personal lives in a number of ways and for a number of reasons. Do not ask me to cross it again, there are other people to give the job to when it does.

Grow up. As long as we put ourselves on the target with what we do and what the X-Men do, professional and personal lives get intertwined. Mystique lasted over six months in the mansion as Robert Drake, under the nose of the world's most powerful telepath, and it was only luck that the X-Men uncovered the real Drake before Mystique could cripple the security of the mansion ahead of an attack designed to wipe them out. Skin riders, telepaths, shapeshifters, magic controls, dopplegangers; we have all of these things on file as having happened and been used to attempt to bring down the mansion and ourselves.

So you need to ask a very important question of yourself, Morgan. Do you really have what it takes to do this job, which means applying a certain level of suspicion to even your closest friends when the situation calls for it? Because sometimes, that's the only way to protect them and everyone else. If you can't live with that fact, you'd be better somewhere else where you have the luxury of separating your personal and professional life. Better to do it before it gets you killed, or worse, gets someone else killed.
