So after our meeting I...started to do magic.
A lot of magic. I ended up bleeding and throwing up some times and things...exploded.
I'm sorry? I couldn't stop thinking about all that and I...got anxious. To grow stronger, I don't know, to do something. I hurt myself instead.
I don't know what to do.

Catseye mentioned something yesterday about you doing magic in the woods. I was giving it a day or so to see if you'd come tell me. It's good to see you have some sense.
First things first - I want you to go down to Dr. Blue and Fuzzy and get yourself checked out. I wasn't joking about some spells causing brain damage and if you've been throwing up as well, you've been channelling way more energy than your body's ready for.
After that, we'll sit down, you and I, and work out a cirriculum for you. What spells you think you ought to know, combined with what I know you can do at what pace. We'll focus on protective magics first, ways of protecting yourself and others. Wards, shields, that sort of thing. Then we'll look at ways of getting yourself out of trouble should it turn up - teleporting, breaking locks, self-healing - and some defensive spells. It'll be long, hard work since most of this stuff is more advanced than someone of your level should be doing, but it'll help, I think.
That sound like a plan?

I suppose she did the right thing; she was worried, I could tell, and not only for her woods. And, if I don't trust you, I don't think I could trust anyone. I'm still trying to find out the way of thanking you for helping me so much when you should have sent me away quite a while ago.
I'll pass over the Medlab as soon as I can.
You had a plan already? Wow, it sounds very elaborated. Do you really think I can do all that? Or be able to do all that someday? By what we know, I suck at magic regardless of my family being all scary dark wizards.
I won't disappoint you, really. I'm going to follow the rules and do what I can. I can't only focus on the bad stuff right? If the book is right, there is no need to be too scared by my parents, just wait for them to...

Cats was worried about you. She's a good friend in that she won't keep secrets that might get you hurt. You're part of her colony now, so you're stuck with her. ;)
And you don't need to thank me, Nico. Like I said, I see a lot of me in you, and I want to help you avoid the mistakes I made. You're a good person, you deserve a chance to grow beyond your family and I'm going to do my best to make sure you get that.
Well, it was a plan I was working on after talking to you on Sunday. Let's just say I know what it's like to wonder about someone coming to get you. Just promise me you won't go haring off after them on some "get them before they get me" kick, okay? It doesn't work and usually ends up with someone having to bail you out. *wry*
One last thing. Prophecy is never iron clad. There's all sorts of loopholes and twists. One of my friends is pre-cognitive - she can read the future - and I'm talking to her about some of the stuff in the book. If you don't mind, I'd like her to talk to you about it sometime?

...That is a nice thing to be aware of.
You know I'm still going to thank you right? I mean, really. Really..
No, never! Last thing I want to do is force someone else to go and get hurt for my safety. I was about to point that I'm not a fool, but it's good for you to tell me not to do it anyway. It would embarrassing anyway.
Pre-cognitive as in Seer of the Things Yet to Come? That sounds like the most awesome power ever! Well, any power seems like that for me anyway, but if you think it is a good idea, of course, I'll do whatever you think is best.

Marie-Ange might argue that being pre-cog isn't all that it's cracked up to be, but I'll let you see for yourself. :) I'll get her to email you at some point once she's done going through the notes I took reading that cranky book of yours.

Alrighty! I'll expect a mail telling me what I'll have from dinner then.
