So I had a little chat with Moira yesterday, only to find out you did a disappearing act on her. What did I tell you about talking to strangers, hmm? (I'm making fun as a way of disguising how much the news alarmed me, by the way. In case that wasn't abundantly clear.)

Seriously, Nate, not liking what she told me. Amanda emailed me worried about you, too. Even from that it seems pretty clear to me what happened, even if you're foggy on the details. So here's the thing... GW and I were already planning to come back with you and Moira when you head back from Muir, and now we're definitely doing it. We won't overstay our welcome - I figure a couple of days will be enough to check up on some things and get your new ground rules straight. Yes, you heard me. We are dictating new ground rules, and you will listen, then smile and say "Yes, I understand. Thank you for looking after my welfare since I'm obviously not capable of doing it myself." I'm sure Moira will help sit on you if need be.

So until then, take it easy, heal up, and stay put. I would appreciate whatever details you can add to what Moira and Amanda told me, but if you're not feeling like sharing right now, I'll just wait and grill you when I see you.

Bridge and I are going to come back with Moira and the idiot when they head back from Muir next weekend. Maybe between the lot of us we can figure out who did what to him, unless of course Charles figures it out first.

What bothers me most is this whole forgetting to ask you to play backup thing. If it was anyone else I'd call it a sudden attack of stupidity, but Nate doesn't make mistakes like that... or at least, he makes them consciously and then dares you to call him on them afterwards.

I hate being on the wrong side of the Atlantic from him at times like this... keep an eye on him for me?

Will do. I'm really hoping Charlie can have a rummage around and break what they've put in his head, because I really don't like the idea that unknown parties are able to yank his chain while he's in a building full of kids.

Yeah, there is that. I'm tempted to stick around for more than a couple of days, just in case - I liked the look of that place, and I'd prefer not to see it wind up a smoking crater. GW's shaking down his contacts for information on this MacInnis bastard. Nothing yet, but I'll let you know if he comes up with anything.

PS: You and me both. What say the first night we're there, the four of us go find someplace nice and anonymous and really cut loose? I haven't been in a good bar fight for ages.
