Looks like I did go through my computer on Monday after we talked, looking for anything to explain why I didn't ask you for back-up. Looks also like I found it, and then 'forgot' that I had. Luckily I was talking to Dom this morning when she reminded me about avoiding IMs with strangers as well as having someone screen my email. When I found this she had me send it to her instead of reading it myself. The file says it was created last Thursday, and accessed on Monday, not long after we had our little chat, so clearly I did look at it again.
'Simonides' is a classical Greek poet who wrote that famous epitaph for the Spartans who died at Thermopylae. It's another Mista codeword. From what Dom tells me (I didn't read it myself, obviously) the conversation is pretty self-explanatory.
