Fine, Ms. Monroe, but I'd like to clarify two things. Wait...three. 1). I'm not trying to get out of detention, lessen or it anything else. 2). drinking straws are not dangerous weapons...at least not in my hands, I was trying to illustrate that I'd do something stupid, not actually hurt him. 3). I was also attempting to be NICE to him and prevent problems on the trip. I didn't know that he had already changed his mind. Yes, I failed, I know.

I don't want to hurt him, I would like him to be respectful and polite to EVERYONE. I try to be, and I don't always succeed, but I at least try. I don't see him bothering to make an effort and then he gets upset when people get mad. Yes, I started this one unintentionally, but dueling to the death is very different than drinking straws.

1. You are quite correct. You will not be allowed out of detention.
2. Regardless, you threatened a fellow student and suggested that you might spill his blood in a public forum. Perhaps this will give you time to consider your words before you post them for all to see. I had assumed that this was not a rule that needed to be expressed to each student individually. Obviously, I assumed wrongly.
3. Perhaps you should take it under advisement to learn the effects of words before you make public statements such as you did. Manuel has recieved detention as well, with me personally. You are not being singled out.
