Accomplice to Child Kidnapper Escapes Transport
BY CHESS ROBERTSPeter MacArthur-Jacobs, an accomplice in multiple counts of kidnapping and attempted murder, escaped mid-transport to a correction and rehabilitation facility early Tuesday morning.
According to police, MacArthur-Jacobs was deemed not guilty by reason of mental defect because of learning and intelligence disabilities due to Autism and as a result was sensitive to manipulation by his adopted mother. For the past four years, MacArthur-Jacobs was being held at a Scotland-based treatment facility and was being transported to another facility in Boulder, CO to begin a program for eventual integration back into society.
Police have further intensified security around the Bedford Hills, NY, area, however, lead investigator, Detective Richard Andrews does "not believe that "Nanny" will return following Tuesday's escape and instead may start another multi-state kidnapping spree."
