Hello darling,
I know I haven't written in a while, for which I apologize. Things have been... hectic here at home. But, the divorce has been finalized, and all the moving is done. Wanted you to know, dear, so it wouldn't be a shock when you came home.
I've attached the information about your flight to this email, I look forward to seeing you in June.
Love you,
-Mom

You what?
Mom, are you kidding? These tickets... Did you mistype something?

Kitty,
Of course I'm not kidding, and no, I didn't mistype anything. I'll pick you up in O'Hare on the 1st, and we'll decide who's taking you back to the air port in August.
We haven't seen you in months, and you haven't been home for more than a year. Isn't it about time, darling?
Love,
Mom

Yes, dear, I am aware of that, I can count. I'll see you in June.
Love,
Mom
p.s. Don't try going behind my back and getting your father to disagree with me - who do you think bought the plane tickets?
