Before I get sucked into other work and forget, I wanted to tell you I've got news for you. You wanted us to look into your father, and we turned up some information.

His name was Ivan Marinkov, I figure you know, and that was all I really needed to start. He was married, well before the war, to a woman called Branka, and they had two sons and a daughter. The girl's the youngest, only a couple of years older than you. They're living in Serbia and I've got the address, if you want it at any point.

I dug up his military records, too. Nothing particularly exceptional there until the war started and then it sounds like he started going off the rails. There are reports from his superior officers about religious mania, that kind of thing, and some notes of behaviour concerns, but it doesn't look like they did anything because he was still a good soldier and they needed him.

I can do you a detailed report if you want to know more.

Thank you, Angelo. I did not know what I expected you to find and now I am not sure what to do.

I have the half-brothers and sister? Are they... are they mutants, like me?

I can hold onto the information as long as you want, if you need time to think about it. Don't do anything until you're ready.

Not as far as I can tell. There's nothing on their birth certificates to suggest it, at least - medical records are harder to get, but nothing I did find suggested that they're mutants.

Perhaps you could give me the whole report? So I can decide what to do with all of the information? And then perhaps I can ask questions then, when I am not so overwhelmed? I had not thought that my father would have the normal family so I am wondering now who they are and what they would say if they were to know about me, if they do not already...

I am getting ahead of myself. Read first, then questions, yes? That is the good way of doing things?

Read first then questions sounds like the best way to me. I'll get the report written up and email it you by the end of the day - and just for you, I'll even throw in any public information I can find about Branka and the kids too. You'd be surprised what kind of thing gets published.
