If you think things that loudly at that time of night on that broad a channel, you do know I'm going to hear them, don't you?

You aren't planning on doing anything stupid, are you, little sister? Or at least nothing that can't be repaired without further visits to the police station? Because I find police stations terribly dull. And they always smell faintly unpleasant. Like guilt and self-pity mixed with just a hint of sick.

Shit, sorry. I know. I didn't think about that until after I sobered up. I'd say I need to work on building up my ability to maintain mental shields while drunk, but I won't be drinking anything anytime soon.

I'm planning on going back to Narcotics Anonymous for support. I don't know if that counts as stupid, but that's the plan. Believe me, I have absolutely no desire to visit a police station anytime soon. The mix of guilt and self-pity and sick... and donuts, don't forget donuts... is not one I'd like to smell any time soon.

I keep an ear out for you, little sister. Which means you were not, perhaps, as loud as all that. Not that improving your shielding is ever a bad idea. Us evil telepaths are everywhere, you know, and we can kill you with our brain. You can insert an evil laugh there, if it entertains you to do so.

Support is good. Also, shoes. If an afternoon shoe shopping would help, let me know. My treat.

Donuts. Do you know, in all my life, I don't think I've ever experienced donut? Do not, in any way, feel that you need to remedy this lack. I'll soldier on, fortified only by Pol Roger and Beluga caviar. It's the cross I bear.

I'm trying to figure out if there's ever been a situation that shoe shopping hasn't helped? Especially when someone else is paying for them?

It's better if you keep bearing that cross and don't experience donut, actually. Because once you do, you'll never be able to live without them. Especially Hellabuns. I would never expose you to that sort of temptation!
