Numerous textbooks, in boxes on the newly recarpeted living room floor. Both the Arabic and the Mandarin ones are fairly light - easy enough to stuff one or both into a suitcase if you still wanted to work ahead while you were off in Europe. Might be something to do on while on various planes, in any case.
Even if you don't want them, don't go hiding tomorrow? We need to make specific arrangments for next weekend, and hell, I'd like to say goodbye and all, too...

Sitting still for many many hours without smoking isn't one of my most favourite things to do, so if I have distraction, it'll make the trip a lot easier. I'll drop by tomorrow after work (hah!) - hopefully the two of you won't have left yet.

Date: 2004-06-04 04:42 am (UTC)You ought to see my new cast, too. It's all light, and non-plastery. Although I regret losing that cute little obscene message you scrawled on the other one.

Lunch, then?
Date: 2004-06-04 04:51 am (UTC)The books sound like just the ticket - I've still got those paperbacks Moira lent me the other night, so between those and yours, I should be set. Oh, and apparently Manuel's teaching me some Basque to confuse his dad with. *grins* Between that, the South London accent, and the Latin, the old bastard won't know which way is up.
Bah. If I come round with a waterproof marker, I could always put it back on... :)
