Hey. Skin gave me your email address in Canada a while back, but I never seemed to get around to emailing you. Whoops. Bad Doug, no cookie.

How's life in Canada? How's Logan? I miss you like crazy. And...would you believe that there was actually a point that I wished Logan was here to talk to about something?

Lots has happened since you left. Dunno what all you know about the latest events in the mansion from everyone. Did you hear about Jamie's evil twin? And the cicada problem? And Sarah traipsing off to get herself killed today, apparently?

Angie's doing well. Matter of fact, we're leaving tomorrow for Lyon to visit her family for a week, then off to Denver for a week to visit mine. Am nervous about meeting Angie's parents, and also nervous about keeping a low profile while in Denver (my parents took some harassment when I tested positive for the X-gene), but by the same token I'm pretty excited.

Say hi to Logan for me.

Miss you like crazy.

Love,
Doug

Doug! I'm so glad to hear from you. You have perfect timing, I need distracting. Am typing this one handed, as I have a shrieky baby taking up the other arm. Someone is not happy. Usually she's such a good girl. :(

I haven't heard ANYTHING! It took a while to get all the security worked out so that I could use my browser from here to read up over there, and then there's the time issues. And, I guess I'm a little worried that I'll see something that'll make me want to run straight home, you know? Y'all get yourselves in such scrapes, it makes my head ache.

Life in Canada is pretty wonderful. We're in a sweet little town, even though our mailing address says Ottawa. Our phones, mail, email, etc are all rerouted through Department H. It's peaceful up here and it's not too hot but it's been fantastically sunny so far this summer.

I'm working with Dr. Twoyoungman, a surgeon, at the local clinic and sometimes on his trips out to the reservations around here. When I'm not there, I'm studying and keeping up with my courses, training, babysitting Miss Crankypants (usually known as Nadia) and generally missing Logan. He's away a lot already, but it's part of the job. What matters is that he's really happy and when we do get to be together it's almost perfect. I'm not on my own, though, Mac and Heather are really good to me when Logan's gone and I go over there for dinner. They're like a second set of parents, it's kind of nice. For the first time in a long time, I feel like I'm my age.

Speaking of parents, Sharon and Tore were here for a few days last week. It was really good to see them again. :) They're really happy with where I am, still like Logan a lot, and are still the same Mama and Daddy as always. I swear, I'm going to beat Mama with Modern Bride Magazine if I hear one more hint about weddings.

I'm glad Angie's doing well. Things must be pretty serious if you're doing the visiting the parents thing. I'm sure it'll all go smoothly, honey. Don't you worry.

I'll say hi to Logan for you when I see him. I miss you too.

Love,
Marie
