Would you two lovely telepaths be able to keep your mental eyes and ears on Tandy tomorrow night? As I'm sure you've felt by now (since she's pretty much been hiding out in her room for a couple weeks now) it's (in four days) a year since her parents' deaths. She's taking it hard. Her nightmares are almost as bad as they were last year.

I'm reluctant to leave her alone overnight right now, but it's also (tomorrow) a year since Kane and I got back together, and he has Surprise Plans for the evening. I don't want to disappoint him by declining, and I really, really need a break from the mansion.

I can provide bribes if that would help persuade you?

No need to bribe necessary, I'd be glad to. Tomorrow night should be relatively quiet. I think there's rumblings of a Doctor Who party to celebrate the 50th that I may or may not be hosting (my dad is a huge fan so I've inherited the following) so I could keep her occupied if need be.

Congratulations on the anniversary, by the way. :) So it's just the one night? If you need more let me know.

Damn, I'm missing a Doctor Who party? (And no, that wasn't sarcasm.) She's just told me she'll be hanging out with Maddie tomorrow, so hopefully you won't have to go too much out of your way to keep her occupied, but she does like Doctor Who, so that's always an option.

I'm sure Maddie will likely take up most of her day, then. I'll ask them to call me if something comes up that they'll need an adult for. The party was going to be early afternoon, coinciding with simulcast but I believe they are reairing it in the evening.

I'm sure it will be something that will be amazing that you will absolutely not think at all around me when you get back.

And then you'd never remember it again. I think I can live with your recollections of things I don't really want to think about my friends doing. I don't feel comfortable doing something telepathically unless absolutely necessary.

I think I saw a recipe that uses something like french toast sticks in place of the fish fingers and some sort of custard dip. I may have to enlist Lorna for ideas.

Molly is a perfect example of what too much erasing can do to a person. I'd rather not. There are still a few people at the mansion who are wigged out by telepaths and have known me for years. Keeping that level of trust that I'm not going to make you forget what you had for breakfast is important to me.

Pfft, you can't mess with fish fingers and custard by subbing out the fish fingers! Travesty!

See, I guess it's having a telepath for a big sister, but it's magic that wigs me out, not telepaths. And if I ever somehow get forced or tricked to eat bacon or sausage or some sort of meat thing for breakfast, I'd hope that as a friend you'd make me forget that. ;)
