(transcribed into phonetic Askani)

~My apologies for the lack of English, but it became necessary for me to allow Askani to give me the battle language in order to communicate with both her and Nate.

From what she told me, the energy of the Askani within Nate can sustain him physically, which allows him to go without food or sleep. However without sleep he loses the ability to keep himself separate from them, which is why he lost his command of English. I could see this in his aura when I looked at it.

At this time, Askani says Nate needs sleep to recover his boundaries, and that she and the others will assist him from inside his mind. The potion I gave him should keep him unconscious for the rest of the day and the night - if further help is needed, I can provide it.~

Gah. Formal. Lots. Not me. :P

~Amanda? Seeing you write all formal-like? Priceless!~

The above was me mocking Amanda on sounding very very formal.

Now. Translation, roughly.

Nate is a stupidhead.

Also. Beyond the obvious of Amanda having interface issues while she deals with absorbing the Askani language, she was told by Herself that the energy of the Askani can sustain Nate physically and let him not eat or sleep. Also means that without sleep he has issues keeping himself seperate from them.

Because yes, lack of sleep would do that. Dweeb.

So the "getting him to sleep" thing was the right move and when he wakes up Askani and the others will help him sort himself out in his head and Amanda will help if needed.

Then she complains about the formal aspects of Askani. This amuses me.

Thank you for the translation, Alison.

I do wish Nathan had come to me before trying this particular experiment on his own; one of the first principles of advanced psionics is that you are what you draw upon, particularly if you aren't careful. There is a very good reason I don't use a similar process myself--experience, mainly; a rather ill-considered exploration of the collective unconscious during the sixties, which would have gone significantly worse for me had Erik not been on hand to construct the nullification chamber.

Might I impose on one of you three to inform Nathan, when he wakes up, that I would appreciate a word? If his reach continues to exceed his grasp to this degree, he could seriously injure himself or his ability.
