Subject: Methinks we're due an appointment, hey?
Cheers,
Considering what's been happening in relation to the school over the last couple of days, I'm going to guess you'll likely be here to take appointments soon. (Yes, here - Sarah and I are back, at least for the moment. Still figuring out how permanent it is.)
Could you pencil me in, for whenever you've the time free? I've kept up with my journal, so there's plenty of reading I need to turn in to you, and I'd be remiss if I didn't say I thought I could use a good talk. My head's in an odd place since we got back, and it might be less unsettling if nobody seemed to be calling me on it. Something feels wrong - I just can't figure out what, or why. Not on my own.
But, yes, please pencil me in, or let me know when I can swing by your office, even - have car, will travel for peace of mind that feels less shock-induced.
Ta,

This afternoon, a CD player is delivered to Alison's room, with a disc already inside. And, just as importantly, an envelope comes with it.
Alison,
I have no idea how to thank you with words. So, I'm foregoing them.
Manuel helped me compose this song for you. I was having trouble writing one, so we each took a piano, turned on the recorders, and saw what we could do that way. It worked out rather well - or, we think so, at least. We hope you like it.
Thank you, Ali.
