Heya Sis,

I'm thinking by now you'd have heard about Big and Grumpy's latest scheme to do his head in. He seems all right now, tho' I'm keeping the sleeping potion ingredients handy in case I need to hit him again with it. I would have mailed you sooner, only I had a couple of language problems. As in, could only speak the one, and that was Askani. Long story, but the upshot is I got the instant learning version from the Lady, and lost my English for a bit. Apparently it was amusing. :P

Nate's doing a lot of work with the Prof at the moment to make sure he doesn't do the same thing again, and he's had his arse kicked by just about everyone. Not so much by me - it's hard to be all high and mighty when I'm not long recovered after doing the same thing myself.

How'd the job go? And did you catch up with Frenchie and Doug at all? They mentioned it might happen. Somehow I think that visit might have been a bit tamer than Manny and me. *grins* Oh, and speaking of orgies, Angelo's got his 18th birthday coming up at the end of July. Pete and I are plotting debauchery in New York - any chance you'll be around? I know you could find the perfect club to go to. We might even see your friend in the red leather again. :)

Moira's pretty good about keeping me fairly comprehensively updated on the Doings-of-Nate. Part of our deal, you might say. I knew the bastard wasn't sleeping, but a week is a little excessive even by his standards. I swear he's getting senile. He used to have a lot more common sense than that.

So you're speaking the pretty babble now too, huh? What's it like? I'll confess to some curiosity. I like tongues. And languages, too, come to think of it...

The job went smashingly (quite literally) and I'm off spending extravagantly for a little while to celebrate. I had lunch with Marie-Ange and Doug - they really are obscenely cute, those two - and may have found something interesting to do in France while I'm here. *cue enigmatic look* Don't be too surprised to see me sometime next week, though. I heard about what your dear uncle got himself into, so both him and Nate need a good ass-kicking, as far as I'm concerned. I need to fly over North America to get where I'm going for my next job, so I may as well stop in New York for the night.

As for the end of July... have to see how it goes, little sis. Sounds like fun, but I've got two jobs lined up between now and then so I wouldn't want to make any promises, just in case there are complications. Definitely sounds like fun, though...

ASkani's... odd. Not like any of the other languages I know, which don't count for much since none of those are actually used as common languages any more _now_. I'm missing a lot of the cultural references, which means I sound dead formal in it, and there's not enough good old fashioned swear words. *grins* I still slip every now and then, mostly when I'm talking, but that's not a big deal. As long as it doesn't happen in the middle of spell, that is. :P

A fly-by visit next week sounds brilliant. If only so I get to watch you give Pete a bollocking - I tried, but I got the whole "it's part of the job" talk. And the silly bastard won't let me fix him neither. 'Sides, I get to see my second-favourite merc. *grins*

Keep July in mind, and we'll see. Even if you can't come, suggest a club? I was thinking of that place we went to, only I don't remember where it is.
