I know things have been nuts, but do you think you girls can do without me for two weeks?
Doctors without Borders asked if I could go to West Africa to help fight that Ebola plague that's going around. I was inclined to tell them to fuck off, but it's clear they need the help, and they swore it'd be a limited stay.
Besides, I'm probably safer there than here.

I leave Wednesday night! Very exciting stuff, in the most terrifying way possible. I'm happy to do it - it's important, and everything I read suggests that MSF is struggling in the worst possible way - but still, makes a girl wonder.

Please do. I'd like to have at least a couple of months between rescue missions.

He's in protective friend mode. You put yourself in harms way the moment you came back here. Going there will also put you at risk but it's for a good cause. Perhaps you are a little crazy, but crazy is often what's needed to get the job done. Sometimes it won't get done any other way.
Like I said though, just be careful. Disease is something that's always been a worry for me. Broken bones I can treat. Viruses...
I'm all for Harry's. I get the occasional free drink for being a frequent flyer.

I know. You can talk him off the ledge when I ignore his demands that I call him from an un-tappable satellite phone every day.
