Hello Clarice,
(*laughs* Sorry, had to use the joke. Cracks me up every time.)
Any way, Moira tells me you were interested in doing my Field Medicine class in the fall semester, and you'd offered to volunteer in the medlab. How about you come see me and we make a start on the classes at least? I'm not doing terribly much over the summer (barring disasters, of course, and now haven't I set us up for a new one by saying that?) and we could get you nice and prepared for the actual classes, perhaps work on getting you some actual first aid qualifications?
Just give me a ping over the email, or drop by my room sometime.
Madelyn.

you mean it!? I can work in the med lab? yes!!! I am qualified for everything Red X can do, so CPR and basic first aid. I did pretty well in your anatomy class last semester too and I'm not afraid of blood. Just don't like it coming out of me.

We'll see
Date: 2004-07-15 01:49 am (UTC)Medlab... well, we have to work up to that. This will be giving you the grounding you need, and gives me the chance to see how serious you are about all of this: I'm a pretty hard taskmaster. But, if we get your first aid qualifications up past the basics and you show me you can knuckle down and work hard, then we'll see.
In the meantime, there's quite often first aiders required for various public sporting and other events - the Red Cross is usually in need of volunteers. Would you like to consider giving up some of your vacation time for something like that as practice?
Madelyn.
Re: We'll see
Date: 2004-07-15 04:05 am (UTC)Absolutely, I'd love to volunteer. All I am doing now is Arabic classes and goofing off. Honestly, I'm getting rather bored with summer. Just one concern...image inducer?
Clarice
No problem
Date: 2004-07-15 08:15 am (UTC)No need to worry yourself about the inducer. I can sign one out for you when you need it. I'll make some enquiries about the volunteer work and see what's available.
How are mornings for you? An hour a day, every day?
Madelyn.
