(1/3) Hey, that's totally normal. Losing Grant...grief has a way of doing that. Makes it hard to get out of bed sometimes.
(2/3) I think...it might be good idea to come back, actually. Maybe. I mean, a change of scenery might help. I don't think it's running away. It's...starting anew. Different perspective. Charles has invited a lot of people to the mansion since the world's a little hectic right now.
(3/3) And maybe worse comes to worse you could just come visit me for awhile. If you decide you want to go back to Deerfield then it'll still be there for you, you know?
(1/3) But he was still in your life. And now he's not. It's okay to grieve for that. And to feel confused, lost.
(2/3) It is nice. I met a man with wings. His name is Warren...we're dating, actually. But...he never really got to do that in Manhattan where he lives, just be himself.
(3/3) lol. It's....different. But the people are nice. From what I hear it's a lot more crowded than when you were at the mansion.
(1/2) Everyone read that book. *I* read that book. Mostly to know what the hell people were freaking out about. Know thy enemy, young Pryde. It's not right, but it's okay.
(2/2) He's not that bad. He's got a heart to him. But he'll probably hit on you if you come here, just forewarning. He's a bit shameless too.
Oh, he'll probably see that as a challenge. I met him at an exhibition opening. His family was sponsoring the exhibition. After that things got....complicated. But that's a story better told in person.
I never could either. I'll let you drink, though, and we can just talk. I'm going to stick with water. My recent experience with alcohol was not entirely fun. I start my fellowship at Claremont Medical Center on Monday so my schedule's going to be spotty for awhile. We'll figure something out.
It's a long story, nothing arrest worthy. You know how I am when I see someone having a hard time. I want to help. So I tried to do that, after copious amounts of alcohol, but it didn't turn out like I wanted. It...mostly crashed and burned spectacularly. I made a fool out of myself.

Date: 2015-02-28 02:01 am (UTC)I guess I've been feeling nostalgic since I've been living at the mansion now. Seeing Charles everyday reminds me of way back when.
Why've you been better? What's up?

(3/3) Deerfield is Deerfield. Not exactly the most exciting place. How's where you're at?
