Hey Sis,
As much as it pains me to admit this, I think I need help.
Since October, my powers have been malfunctioning, or growing, or something. I still have control over whether or not I Read things I touch. But now I find myself being able to Read objects through the things I touch. For example, if I'm holding a cup of coffee and set it on a table, I can Read the table. I can Read a watch through someone's shirt or a ring through a glove someone's wearing. And I can't control these through-Readings. At all.
Sorry. I know you're out of the country right now and you have more than enough on your plate, but with Haller dead and Jean... not being Jean, I don't know who else to talk to. Other than the Professor. And I really don't want to do that. I'm not in urgent distress so don't rush back on my account or anything. I just wanted to let you know. I was hoping it would resolve itself over time but it appears to be getting worse. Maybe when you're back we can eke out some time to get together and discuss? Because sharing an office with Warren Worthington is going to grant me some horrific images if I don't get this under control; I know this for a fact.
Thanks.
A.
