[1/2] Back before M-Day I talked to an XFI person about keeping an eye on Weasel. Is that a thing that's still happening post-M-Day?
[2/2] Cause if it's not, could we make it happen? Somebody just shot out all the windows in his car.


Marie-Ange:

[1/2] Staying at Weasel's for the night. Somebody shot out his car windows and he's freaked.
[2/2] Moving him to a different location tomorrow.


Doug:

[1/2] Can you lift surveillance of the area around the attached address and tell me who shot out Weasel's car windows?
[2/2] If not, no worries. I'm moving him tomorrow, anyway.

[1/3] He's all shaken up. Pancakes were had. After we trashbag packed up everything in his flat.
[2/3] Moving his electronics was interesting. Mostly destroyed things. Will have to replace them.

1/2 Hmm. This is one of those weird frankenberry cat things, I guess. Because there are no records here in this universe of XFI being hired by you for anything. So I would assume since it wasn't me you spoke to, and I'm the only one left from the pre-M-Day XFI you and I knew, that request just... disappeared? Or something? It's really confusing and annoying, isn't it?

2/2 But yeah, we can make it happen. You wanna come into the office to talk in person or did you want me to open a file for you electronically?

[1/2] I'll come by, got Doug to lift the security footage. Not really sure who's who or any of that, but it might help.

1/2 Good. That means I don't have to lift security footage, y'know, with my brain. And less clutter means less chance of psychotic breaks. Yay.

2/2 Does that mean this is a bloodstained cash under the table thing? Cuz if it is, I'll make sure Worthington's the one in the office to accept it rather than me.

[1/4] No, this is just doing business in person. Call me old fashioned.
[2/4] I can go over what I arranged before M-Day and you can tell me if it's still feasible.
[3/4] I know the team's different, so different strengths/area of expertise, etc.
[4/4] I'd prefer Worthington not be involved.

1/2 Sounds good. What are you doing now? I'd rather not leave it another night.

2/2 I was just kidding about Worthington. That guy draws way too much attention to himself to be on any surveillance work until he learns to be more subtle. And I get to say that because apparently I'm kind of an eccentric, mysterious recluse in this universe and thus do NOT draw attention to myself.

[2/3] I'm in the city for the night to make sure no one tailed us but I can meet you first thing in the morning.
