Subject: Apologies
Ms. Frost,
It is with much soul-searching over the past few days that I feel an apology is in order.
I was out of line in my conduct at the XFI offices. The business that takes place there is no less important than anywhere else. I did indeed behave in the manner of a 'frat boy' and I assure you such behaviour will not occur again.
Personal lives should not entrench on the professional arena. This was another facet I did not consider when I engaged in unsavoury behaviour.
In essence: I was wrong, you were right.

Sue did, yes. She's a good friend...young and impulsive, but has her heart in the right place.
Have fun watching baseball! I hope they all get touchdowns in the last period

Wow I just laughed so hard I think I need a new computer. This one is drenched in coffee.
What's the deal with her? I'm vaguely familiar with her grandfather's company but let's assume I know nothing about her...
Please tell me you're joking. Please, PLEASE tell me that's a joke.

Sue's father, Franklin, runs Stormtech. She has degrees in words I can neither pronounce nor understand. Graduated top of her class from Harvard. Has the dumb blonde look perfected but she's really not.
She's astute and perceptive but young and impulsive. If she'd stop and think things through further than 'can I do it?, she probably wouldn't be in this mess.
Actually, if she sticks around, I think she'd be a good asset for XFI. She needs supervision, but I'm willing to do that.
Oh and just so you know, she's like a little sister to me. Nothing shady is going on.
And isn't that how baseball works? Tight pants and a bunch of holes?

All the cool kids went to Harvard.
A good asset for XFI how, exactly? I think I may have more young and impulsive than I can handle with you.
Well that's good to know.
A... bunch of... holes? Wait, are you thinking of golf?

Didn't you go to Yale?
She has a bright mind, Adri. Plus, she can become invisible. That's got to be a plus, no? I think we won't regret having her on board, and come on -- don't tell me you don't want me to be the whipping boy here. I want to keep an eye on her. I worry about her. Too smart for her own good.
Maybe? Is that the one with the mascots and bulls?

Oh fuck. Yeah. That's right. I went to Yale. Thus I am not cool. That's what I meant.
My desire to have you as a whipping boy is in conflict with my desire not to be found out as a mutant and also my desire not to get dragged into anything that will get me killed thanks to a young impulsive kid too smart for her own good bringing us enemies.
I am, however, willing to meet with her and see what kind of impression she makes on me. I used to worry about someone a lot like her so your sentiment isn't lost on me.
Okay, now you're just taking the piss.

You are a strange woman.
Thanks. If you regret it. Again, feel free to take your anger out on ne. For the record, I like leather better than synthetic whips.
Everyone knows what baseball is. I'm not that clueless.

You're just realizing this now? I thought you were a detective?
I'm just realizing this Sue Storm is the same 'Sue' that's friends with my ward's boyfriend. I've seen her around some of Tandy's shows but never spoken one-on-one with her.
Thank Christ! I was worried I'd have to develop some sort of treatment program for you.

I had to deduce it. Took some time. I feel confident my assessment was correct.
Oh that's right -- Keller and Storm are bffs. That means 'forevah'. See? I can be hip and with it.
Sports treatment? You sound like my father. I've had enough polo and golf for my liking, thanks.

I half expected you to say you didn't have your fedora on at the time.
I think if you use the words 'hip' and 'with it' you kind of negate the whole effort, there, bud.
Mine is just to make you appreciate baseball, not to, like, make you be straight or lose weight or whatever. But hey, golf is excellent! Polo, not so much. With you there. Kane enjoys telling me he used to play polo but the horses kept drowning.
