Alex,
Shiro has just informed me of your vacation plans; Japan is a lovely country, and I hope you will enjoy your visit.
It occurred to me, however, that we may need to make arrangements for a passport for you before you leave, and the process should begin as soon as possible if it is necessary. Do you currently possess a passport, and if so is it still valid?

Also...can I ask you a huge favor? I'm going to e-mail Scott and ask his permission, but, you know, could you give me a little help? I'm just afraid of him saying no I guess. It would be a great help.
Thanks again Professor!

Date: 2004-07-19 07:52 pm (UTC)I have passport applications in my office, and once you have filled one out, and we have assembled the necessary paperwork and identification, it's simply a matter of stopping by the post office and paying the fee, which I will be happy to cover for you. Feel free to stop by at any time to pick up the application, or if you have any questions about filling it out.
