Bella's really very quiet at nights, so she wouldn't be much trouble. I can bring her cage, but she likes sleeping curled up on beds just as much. Particularly if they have one of her favorite people in them.

Dom's in considerably better shape this morning, so she'll probably come looking for you at some point soon. Amanda treated her to some of that handy healing mojo last night. Plus I think it did her good to shriek at me, even if she's now horribly embarassed by some of the things she said. Don't be surprised if you get an earful about that when she finds you; she was busy kicking herself about it at breakfast.

You haven't looked very good in class the last couple of days. And yes, I know that's not a particularly polite thing to say, but hey, no one ever accused me of being tactful. One of the reasons I'm asking is that your quiz wound up in my to-be-marked pile, as usual - Doug and I have agreed that he's not the most objective person in the world and thus probably shouldn't be marking your work - and it wasn't quite up to your usual standards. Not to mention that the doodles in the margins are a little disturbing.

If meditation would help, feel free to knock on my door. Hell, feel free to do it anyway... I haven't got any plans for the evening.

I met Cassidy ages back when an Interpol investigation he was running turned up links to some nasty business with a couple of bastards I was looking for over something else. I was stupid and full of meself at the time, and turned up and stepped all over his investigation, then killed the bastards as soon as we caught up with them - he didn't have enough on them legitimately that he could build a case, and even if he had, there's no way we could have held them back then. He wasn't very fucking happy.

But anyway - yeah, Interpol boy. Now I think of it, something at their anti-terrorism branch, last I heard.

I'm sure Dom will find me when she's done beating herself up, and needs someone to tell her that you're as bad as each other.

Yeah, I'm helping the kids go out and get drunk like proper teenagers without getting a huge bollocking - they've got hotel rooms booked by Romany for tonight, and by some strange co-incidence, I'm taking a few days to nip into New York for a bit've a rest from this place, and happen to have a room booked there meself.

Charlie asked you and you said yes? I always through you two would make a cute couple, but MacTaggart's going to go spare...

Shame on Romany, hastening the corruption of today's youth. Shame on you, too. Given who seems to be going, I'm sure there'll be all kinds of wild and licentious behavior. I'm all aghast at the thought. Laughing hysterically, too. If I don't see a dumb grin on Angelo's face when I see him tomorrow, I'm going to be terribly disappointed.

And the phrase Charles used was 'reserve member', incidentally. Apparently that means I get to play train with the other boys and girls, but I get left alone to teach except in case of emergency.

Well, no, I don't think Charlie's daft enough to actaully set someone to keeping us in line, let alone Cassidy, but I wouldn't put it past him to want a few role models around the place that're actually y'know, fit to be role models.

Frankly, if Angelo doesn't have a stinking hangover tomorrow, I'm going to be disappointed in Amanda. Although Paige is going, so I guess he may decide he has to behave...

And finally, christ, not you too? Is there anyone left around here that's a mutant over the age of twenty that's not been fitted for the pervert gear, or am I alone in retaining some sense?

I swear, Charles had entirely too much fun surprising me with that last night. I'm a reserve member for now - realistically, I've got too much of my own shit that still needs dealing with to be jumping into the deep end with something like this. But I'm really looking forward to it... trying to figure out precisely why, but the idea really appeals to me.

You know, Miles is starting to redefine the concept of "hyperactive child" and then some. I think it's the food/energy/buildup thing going on. It's a good thing Jamie can dupe to keep up with him.
