Gentlemen,
Neither of you know me, although I gather Mr. Wisdom has been looking for me for some time now. In the interests of being direct, I'm the one responsible for Nathan's kidnapping back at the beginning of May. The trigger that I used via IM - I'm assuming you turned this up at some point - to ensure he came to New York that weekend without Mr. Wisdom in tow is as follows:
There flowers the battle-spear of young men.
There the Muse is eloquent,
There Justice in the wide ways lends force to actions of honor.
I'm writing to give you what information I can about what happened today. The change of tactics - I'm speaking of the extensive and deliberate collateral damage - was designed to make a public statement, as well as pressure Nathan to surrender. The President's investigation has led to some drastic changes in the way Mistra operates. Tell Nathan that he can no longer rely on them reacting in a predictable fashion; the protocols he's familiar with have been largely discarded in the past few months.
What's more important just now is for the two of you to know that my sources within Mistra are telling me that there's no follow-up action planned against the school. That's not a step they're willing to take, for a variety of reasons. If that changes, I'll do my best to let you know.
