Subject: my office
I've checked my office as you requested. I have only a passing familarity with listening devices, but I'm fairly sure what I found attached to the back of one of my bookshelves is one. I haven't touched it; I thought it was best to leave it as is until I heard back from you.
Nothing unusual has happened at my office since I started seeing Nathan - no signs of forced entry or anything like that at any point - but it is cleaned regularly, so I have no idea how long the device might have been there. If it was placed prior to last week, however, it would explain what happened today, as Nathan mentioned to me as he left last week about his plans with Ms. Sefton for this afternoon.
I feel some responsibility for this. Moira alerted me to the security considerations - I have no notes, no file on Nathan, but it never occurred to me to sweep my office for bugs. If there's anything further I can do, please let me know.
Sincerely,
Jack Leary
