I actually meant to e-mail you about that before but I've been kinda scattered . . .
The thing is, has Amanda told you about her magic tutor, this Dr. Strange guy? He's a professor at Columbia, and you probably can tell where this is going.
She's going to be okay. That's the first thing. She's in the medlab right now and I'm not sure how bad she's hurt, but they can pretty much do anything down there, and one of the doctors left on a thing today, and none of them would have if there was any serious danger to a patient. I don't know when she'll be able to write to you, but I thought you should know, and if you want to come visit when she's available for visits I'll clear everything on this end, just let me know.

She was there?
...
Oh, God. Okay, yes, just tell me when I can visit, because I am visiting as soon as humanly possible. Need to see that she's okay (or going to be) for myself before I can stop worrying.
Thank you, Jamie. I owe you.. something, for letting me know. I'll figure out what later, when my brain is less noisy. Gah.
Call me if anything changes? No matter what time it is? You have my number, right?

Date: 2004-07-26 02:49 am (UTC)Got your number, it's on my helpful list of HeliX contact stuff, and as soon as I know anything, one of me is pretty much always within a few steps of a phone. And if there's anything else I can do, let me know.

Date: 2004-07-26 02:59 am (UTC)Give me something to do? HeliX-y or otherwise? Mind-numbing Flash games or mutant-friendly activism, I'm not picky. I just need to do something to keep busy 'til I can come see her. Though.. you guys are still out of classes, right? You wanna meet up sometime this week, go over my notebook o' logos or something? (That way, I can wheedle a hug out of you. And if you tell anyone I'm acting this girly, I will.. pout, probably, and deny it a lot in a whiny voice.)

Date: 2004-07-26 03:03 am (UTC)And yeah, that might be a good idea. I'll try and pull a meeting together, if it's gonna be any more than you and the Xavier's bunch, and if I can, wanna meet up an hour or so early, and if I can't, we just figure on a time?
And I'll keep your secret. Wouldn't want people thinking you're acting girly when you're, you know, a girl. That's the kind of thing you don't want spread around.

Date: 2004-07-26 03:16 am (UTC)Either sound good to me, cap'n. If all else fails, you and I can ditch people at some point and go be productive and just generally social. Are there any movies out right now that aren't crap, do you suppose? Or should we go see a crappy one and give it the ol' Mike Nelson? Or Joel, depending on your personal preference. Though to do that properly, we'd need three. How's Doug for mocking bad movies?
Thank you. That kind of thing would totally ruin my reputation. Knew I could count on you to keep it under your stylish-yet-goofy hat.
