Dear M-A,
What the fuck happened? I can’t make heads or tails of what little I saw on the journals when I managed to get to the library. Are you ok? Is everyone ok? What the fuck happened?!?

Dear Jamie,
Are you ok? I mean really, seriously, are you ok? And please explain the parchment. The letter was beautiful (and long) but I still don’t understand what happened. Explain. Call me. Now.
Yours worriedly,
-Kitty

Dear ‘Yana, Jubes and Terry,
Do any of you know what happened? Is everyone ok? Are you ok? Be ok, please, because I’m very confused and would very much like to know that all of my roommates will be safely waiting for me when I come back. Won’t somebody please explain!!!
-Kit
Return letter
Date: 2004-08-13 11:01 am (UTC)Kitty,
He had a beard. He had a -lot- of beard. He says dwarves do not make razors. As you can see, it was that bad.
Doug. Magic. Yes, I am rather not happy about it either, but it was the only way to get us home, or so I am told. We'd have been there another week/four months if he had not been willing. I am trying not to think about it too strongly.
Asgard was... cold. It was like - did you see the Thirteenth Warrior? It was something like that, only with much taller scary people and movies do not tell you how bad people smell when they do not bathe. It had a few good parts, but overall? I think I much prefer Earth and the 21th Century to anything else.
Most of life in the mansion is insane. My roommate is purple, the other one turns into a wolf and the third... actually, it is best if I try not to talk about Monet.
My boyfriend speaks -every- language in existance, his roommate and best friend can do ten things all at once before breakfast, and their roommate is -green-. Writing those sentences should convery a feeling of wonder or awe, except that I think I sprained my sense of disbelief about six months ago, and it has not healed yet.

Re: Return letter
Date: 2004-08-15 11:41 pm (UTC)Are you sure this isn`t a doctored picture? I have trouble crediting anyone (let alone my darling Jamie) looking _this_ silly. If he ever concievs of trying to grow a beard again in the future, I shall have to take it upon myself to shave it off him and save the world from such a silly looking fate.
Yes, there are some things it is better not to think about very strongly. Jamie and a spear is one of them, and Doug and magic is another. That`s probably all that needs saying about that.
Welcome back to the 21st century, and congrats for a return to indoor plumbing, then. If you`re sense of disbelief has been strained, stick with your sense of appreciation of that if nothing else. And maybe also electricity.
