Clarice asked me to teach her to drive and I said that I'd make sure you didn't object before she and I got underway.  Objections?

Can you think of any reason why she wouldn't be given a driver's license because of her skin colour?  Should we bring a letter from Hank stating that her skin colour is due to a medical condition?  I'd like to make sure of things in advance.  Even if they are going to be difficult, she needs to do this.  I just want to make sure she feels successful because she plans to start doing things without the image inducer and driving is part of letting her get around without it more easily.

No objections. In fact, you'd better be careful; I might interpret this as a desire on your part to help out with the driving instruction, and who knows where that could lead.

I can't foresee any problems that wouldn't be solved by a couple of precautionary phone calls. I'll speak to the Professor about it. I can certainly understand that you don't want her to feel set back when she's starting to stretch her legs without the image inducer.
