Mr. Summers,
I understand the need to keep Alex sequestered until he is conscious and you have had a chance to speak with him, but I insist that I am allowed to follow you once you are done. If he needs to be reminded that there is affection for him within this place, then I can do that.

I am about ready to break down the door between us and Alex any moment now, despite what Mr. Summers says. Care to join me?

Dr. McCoy,
If there is anything I can do to help Alex, please allow me to. Even if it is something simple such as changing the linens, let me. I do not think I can sit still until I myself know for certain that he is well, and that I have done my part to help him.

Date: 2004-02-29 07:55 pm (UTC)I appreciate your enthusiasm and desire to help. I will consult with the medical staff and Professor Xavier as to how best to help Alex and I will keep you foremost in mind when selecting visitors for him. It's possible that neither of us are a good choice to see him, in which case, perhaps we can sit in the hall together and commiserate.
Regards,
Scott

Date: 2004-02-29 08:32 pm (UTC)I am just doing what any friend would do when another is in need. There is no need to thank me.
But why would neither of us be a good choice to see him? I would think that you, Lorna, and I would be the best.
