Mr. Summers,
I understand the need to keep Alex sequestered until he is conscious and you have had a chance to speak with him, but I insist that I am allowed to follow you once you are done. If he needs to be reminded that there is affection for him within this place, then I can do that.

I am about ready to break down the door between us and Alex any moment now, despite what Mr. Summers says. Care to join me?

Dr. McCoy,
If there is anything I can do to help Alex, please allow me to. Even if it is something simple such as changing the linens, let me. I do not think I can sit still until I myself know for certain that he is well, and that I have done my part to help him.

Shiro--
Your offer is laudable and, believe me, very welcome. As soon as we have something suitable that can be done to help, I will inform you in haste. For the moment, however, we are left to wait until Alex has reawakened so that we can better determine what has happened, how he has been affected, and what the best course of action shall be. At present, we don't even have linens to wash, I'm sorry to report. It's very much wait-and-see for the moment, which at least offers some breathing room.
