Did I remember to thank you? I honestly can't remember. I remember.. cookies, which are delicious, for the record. And I remember a hug. And I remember being very, very bad and whining at you so soon after you've gotten here, and you being absolutely wonderful about it. So, even if I did thank you before you left? Thank you. Many, many times over.
I think I owe you a drink. Or at least lunch. Something, to make up for having me go all.. wibbly on you. And don't say I don't owe you, we'll be forced to argue the point 'til we're both blue in the face.
Let me know when you're free, and we'll go do something.

PS: How're the twin terrors getting along with Fred and Wilma these days, hm?

Cecilia,
You did thank me at the time, although you are, again, very welcome, and I'm glad to have helped. You seem a bit more cheerful today. Don't consider it whining at all -- I didn't. Everyone needs to unload sometimes. Even med students. ;)
You don't owe me, but I never turn down free food or drink. Bad policy, that. I should be available anytime this weekend, barring disaster; this week I'm trying to get the library organised, which is trickier than it sounds. Let me know when you're free and I think we're set! :)

PS - The kids have taken your words to heart. They're only putting up a token resistance, rather than imitating secret agents avoiding nerve gas. You worked wonders.

Shan,
My roomie-slash-boss-slash-tutor and I went out for a couple of drinks earlier. Bonding ensued. I got to tease her about helping her walk a straight line back to the cab and up the stairs, so I'm in a much better mood today, yes. Again, the hug and cookies helped a lot. Thank you. Again.
Call it Saturday? I'd offer to come help you get the library into working order, but I have a couple courses to plan, and oh my God I think I just realized they're making me teach actual living people. I need to refresh my memory on what I'm teaching - I may have won some money. (Don't ask.)
Cecilia
PS - I'm so proud. Of me, and them. Hah. Anytime you need help twisting them around your finger in that regard, let me know. It was kind of fun. ;)
