You probably saw the post to the teams comm already, but I took an emergency trip to Muir yesterday after Jean found out I've been causing the recent issues for the mansion psionics. Charles has done some diagnostics and basically I need bottom-up retraining in how to shield so I'm no longer saturating anyone in my immediate proximity. I'll be back . . . whenever that happens. A few weeks, I guess. Right now we're working on accommodations that'll allow me to work while limiting my exposure to Charles and anyone else on Muir I might affect until it's under control. We tried an inhibitor, but the headache it gave me was counterproductive.

I'll let you know how it goes. Let everyone know I'm sorry.

Sorry I didn't say goodbye yesterday. After Jean told me what was going on I wasn't thinking very clearly, so Jack made a judgment call. I'm not sure but I think we might have agreed to let Clarice pick out a new wardrobe as payment for the teleport.

You were right. I should have just gone to Muir.

Wrote and re-wrote this a few times now. Just going to send it.

Jean checked. Hope confirmed. I'm the reason everyone's powers have been disrupted for the last few months.

The professor thinks it's my shields. Because of my manifestation trauma I never had to cultivate them like most telepaths do, and when my mind broke the scar tissue that always kept me from involuntarily projecting or receiving was torn up. It was like a non-healing wound, except what I was bleeding was psionic energy. The whole mansion has been steeped in it since I woke up. I guess it interacted oddly with some people. Amping powers, disrupting powers, impairing control. Just generally fucking over the rest of you.

Now that we know what's going on the professor has developed a pretty intensive program to help me patch the holes and rebuild my shields in a more intentional way. Not sure how long it'll take. Getting myself away from the mansion means the rest of you are out of my sphere of influence. Things should get better now. Or at least not any worse.

I'm sorry we didn't tell you before we left. I didn't know what to say.
