My sister arrived at the school tonight, I have no idea how she got here and must assume that she flew.  I don't know how she found me.  In fact, I know litttle except that she trashed one of the intake bays and part of the office of the medlab and hit Hank with a desk, among other things.  She also has apparently escaped from a mental hospital.

My sister has a history of occasional persona-breaks; personality shifts between her dominant self - Aurora - and her childhood self - Jeanne-Marie.  As a note, use of the wrong name can make her hostile when she is out of phase, so to speak.  Only experience can really tell one which she is, though most of the time she is quite clearly Aurora.  This issue affected her only rarely during her work with Alphaflight and she was a member in good standing as long as I was.  I saw her last at Christmas when she told me that she was marrying Walter Langowski and moving on with her life.  We argued briefly and decided it would be best not to see each other for a while.  She was doing unusually well at the time and had been stable for a few years.  I have no idea what changed.

I do know that her show of violence is related directly to the anti-psychotic drugs generally given to people with her condition.  She reacts very badly to them and, in fact, doesn't generally need them to cope.  Things tend to settle out fairly quickly and when she's not drugged incorrectly, she's not a danger to anyone.  Because she's had bad experiences with these drugs and doctors before, she reacts extremely poorly to being confined in a medical setting when she's not herself.

My sister is, fundamentally, a good person.  Whatever has happened to her, it's been very traumatic and she's going to be horrified when she regains some sense of herself.  I can't put her in hospital, it would kill her.  She just needs to sleep off the medications and to recover.  She's an intelligent person and an excellent agent in the field, when she's herself.  Usually, we know when she needs to withdraw and stabilize.  To see her like this after all her efforts at normalcy is crushing.  I'm asking that she please be allowed to stay, at least until I know she's well enough to be on her own.  Professor, you can tell what she's really like under the medication, I'm sure.  She's no more a danger than other people here - and I know that's hardly endorsement or excuse, but it's true.

I cannot stay here if she cannot stay.  That's all there is to it.  She may have rejected me and tried to purge me from her life, but she needs me now.  I can't do anything less.

Regards,
Paul
