I had a long email chat with Beth about the HeliX thing, and she's willing to meet you, but she wanted meto warn you she's a bit leery of psis. Not just empaths, all psis. The whole 'looking into your head' thing. So she might be a bit nervous about meeting you. It's nothing personal, but if it makes you uncomfortable, we can forget about the whole thing.

I should be used to that reaction by now. *sighs* Still, the HeliX thing, when it isn't the Jamie Madrox Fan Club, is supposed to be preaching tolerance and understanding, is it not?

I will not actively scan her deliberately. I will behave - for her sake, for mine, and for the Professor's. I will not be able to escort her properly - I trust this will not be a problem? She should have other people there she can talk to, yes?

HeliX is about tolerance, which is exactly why she hasn't run for the hills yet. She just wanted me to let you know that she's nervous about psis out of courtesy, so you didn't think it was you personally.

And yes, she's not expecting you to be with her the whole night - I already explained about the Professor, and she's sort of independant any way, didn't even occur to her she'd need an escort. *grins* There's a few of the HeliX people she knows quite well, plus a couple of the teachers she met last time she visited. It's a pity Dom won't be here, tho'...
