Alison,

Never let it be said that Pete has a monopoly on the "paranoid british guy" thing. I may be completely off the mark, but.. earlier today, Manuel mentioned Lorna, said she needed to get happy. Now, this wouldn't worry me if he hadn't told me I wasn't happy enough during his and Amanda's glitterfest a few weeks ago shortly before giving me a healthy dose of the giggles, and if he hadn't said precisely zip when I said Lorna would get there on her own power. I don't know if there's anything to be done about it, or anything to do about, but it's been gnawing on me.

Probably nothing, but I'm a paranoid son of a bitch bastard, especially this week. This seems to be my day for snitching on people based on vague hunches.

How is Lorna, anyway? She looked.. about as bad as Amanda does, last I saw her. Except she didn't smell like liquor. I offered to let her break on me, but she said you have a monopoly there, so.. this is me being a concerned friend type. How is she? How are you?

On a mostly unrelated note, if you count amongst the people available to talk to if I need to that you mentioned yesterday, could I nab you for a little while tomorrow? I need a good vent. Can supply my own Kleenex, and coffee for your trouble, and I'll love you forever and ever.

... I've spoken to Hank about Lorna on an unrelated matter. I'll add this to it, although I'd like to have a clearer image of what you mean or something more certain... Except I know what you mean about Manuel, although he warned me when he - well. I might as well try to talk to her about that too. We'll see how she reacts. I've got Hank keeping an eye on her for the physical side of things, so that's a start at least, right? And I make sure Hank eats, so there you go... and I'm tired, is it showing? It's showing.

Amanda smelled like liquor? ... when she posted about going out for a walk? Maybe mention it to Pete? If you haven't already, anyway.

I do. Coffee sounds good. Even better would be food. What say you we head out and get some fresh air, and find a great deli in the process? Heck, what am I saying... I know the perfect place in NY. Whaddya think?

Subject: Getting some air?

It is showing, but if it's any consolation, I'm tired too. Took me forever to get to sleep last night, and once I did, I couldn't really sleep in much. Silly responsibilities, cramping my style. Five hours of sleep does not make for a happy Shinobi, especially one who had -- well. Another semi-crummy day. But Marie's cooking and Sarah's company helped.

I mentioned that Amanda looked like she'd been run over a few times by a Guiness lorry truck to Pete. She's going to kill me. Oh well.

And what kind of bloke would I be if I turned down a meal with you, of all people? I'm so there. Just say when and where. You are a saint, and guaranteed a place in my 'favourite people ever' list.
