Okay, now I've cleaned coffee off the screen (and Cecilia is giving me the oddest looks - mind if I show her what I'm sporfing over?), I have to bow down before your superior evil. Really. And possibly before your superior ass. But only in a wholesome envy-you-like-hell kind of way. Nothing kinky. *grins*
I'd suggest you send this to Haroun, but I think you'd probably give the poor man a heart attack. Or possibly blow some gaskets. If he had any in those cybernetics of his, that is. But oh, the expression on his face... I'd cherish that in my old age, I swear...
Maddie.
PS: Like a baby. Clarice wanted to draw a funny moustache and goatee on him with purple lipstick.
Ooh. I made you spit coffee on the screen. I'm getting good at this. Feel free to show it to Cecilia - I just didn't want this out in the open on the journals. I always say if you got it, flaunt it, but having a seven year old ask you questions really, but really puts some things in perspective that way sometimes. (And of course my ass is superior. And you did know I have no humility, right?)
Send to Haroun? Er -gaskets blowing up would be bad. So, no sending. Nope sirree. In fact, none of the men in this mansion are getting that one. I don't want to be responsible for sending you more patients, see? I'm good that way.
Alison
ps - oh good. And please tell me you didn't let her? Please?
Well, considering I'd just been reading that thread in your journal between you and Cain, this was the last straw. Or last sporf, as it were.
And isn't 'sporf' a nifty made-up word? Carlie taught me that one, usually by making me do it a lot by waiting until I had a mouthful of something before cheerfully telling me details of her 'social' life. Kid's going to be the death of me - you two would get on famously.
Cecilia is very approving. She went all quiet and then disappeared down to the library to talk to Shan. Man, I'm going to miss her if she does end up moving out.
And thank you so much for the consideration. Especially since the last time Haroun overheated and we had to throw him in the icebath, he was positively obnoxious. In that charming Haroun way, of course.
Maddie.
PS: Of course I didn't. No matter how tempting it was, it would be unethical of me to allow that sort of thing.
I sent her out to see if Monet is in another of her fugue states instead.
Heh heh heh. I'm having an insane amount of fun with that. The set-up alone... go look now, you'll know what I mean.
'Sporf' is indeed a neat word. I will have to send Miles down to you at one point so you can tell him about it, as he collects words these days. I'm sorry - Carlie? I think it's the first time I hear you mention that name. :)
Oh boy. I get the feeling some people will be wondering why the women are snickering by tomorrow. Heh. Wait - moving out? What's going on? Gah!
He has that way about him, yes. Inimitable is the word, I think.
Alison
ps - ...you did not. Of course you did. You horrible woman you.
Oh dear. *snickers* I think you broke him. Or possibly his railing.
I'd be happy to share 'sporf' with Miles. He may try and get you to demonstrate it at any chance he gets, but I consider that poetic justice. As for Carlie... didn't I mention her in relation to the Muffins of Chocolately Doom? Must have been the sleep deprivation talking. She's my kid sister, ten years younger than me and just started college. Which is not a good thing. I'm getting old, damnit!
Re Cece. She was freaked out enough by Kitty's dragon, but this demon thing seems to be the last straw. She's been talking about finding an apartment near campus and moving out, and going as far as checking out some places. On the one hand I'm going to miss her like crazy, both for the help in the medlab and the company as a roomie, but on the other, it's great she's feeling confident enough to risk going out into the Big Bad World again. Gah. It's been a crappy week and make no mistake.
Maddie
PS: Of course I told her to get pictures. No point otherwise. ;)
I'm just an innocent young girl, dont'cha know. *wise nod*
That's okay - anything that'll make him happy works for me, really. And I had no idea you had a kid sister. You planning on having her down for a visit someday or keeping her well away from the insanity? ...and I'm craving chocolate muffins now. That's just evil.
re: Cece. What does it say though when the Big Bad World feels safer than here? Eh. Don't mind me. Hopefully she'll keep in touch.
Crappy week. Oh yeah. No doubt about that.
Alison
ps - I worship. What do I need to do to get copies if any pictures get taken?
The send him round sometime. When I'm not just off night shift would be preferable. Haroun says I get weird when I'm sleep deprived and sugar high. Wouldn't want to scar him for life.
I have two. Siblings, that is. Joe's a year older than me, jazz musician, married, a couple of kids. Lives in Chicago and calls me 'Peanut' still. *grrs* And then Carlie - she still lives with Mom and Dad in Philly. I've thought of inviting her for a visit quite a lot actually - miss the little brat, and I think she'd get a kick out of meeting some of the kids here. I'm just terrified we'll have one of our disasters and Mom and Dad will have my head on a platter for traumatising her. Baby of the family, don't you know. I guess I could always invite her up for a weekend in New York, do the brief visit to the school and then spend the rest of the time committing mayhem in th ecity... Would you be up for something like that? Like I said, you two would get on horribly well.
I can get her to make her Doom Muffins, if you like. ;)
Cece... Yeah, I know exactly what you mean. You sure we're not on some ancient Indian burial ground or something? The place certainly does attract more than its fair share of calamity, even before Nate got here. But she will keep in touch, because I have decreed this will be so. And because I'll be visiting her every so often. Ooh, another person to drag out should I get Carlie up for a visit. Hmm, have to ask the brat about vacation times. She's a humanities major, she can spare the time. ;)
Maddie.
PS: Of course you worship. I am a goddess of sneakiness. Well, a minor diety, at least. Copies could be obtained though much bribery and saying of nice things about their owner. *grins*
Hey. Some people still fall for it, I'll have you know.
And Miles knows sugar highs. If anything he'd just feed on it - I kid you not when I say he's hyperactive. It's a good thing the kids pitch in and particularly Jamie. He often offers to help and can dupe as many Jamies as he needs to keep up with Miles. I think I'd have been easily overwhelmed ages ago otherwise.
The things you find out when you just take the time to ask... I'd be entirely up for mayhem, though you'll have to explain image inducers to her. I could bring Miles along too, maybe?
Oh, why not - Doom Muffins sounds perfectly good to me. Think I can con her into babysitting Miles if he gets to them? ;)
Cece... god I hope not. I'm not watching a horror movie for a few months now, thank you. We definitely have to drag her out into the city with us when sibling visisting occurs, for sure. It'd be nice to be able to keep in touch with someone...
Alison
