Emails to Nathan, Pete, Manuel

Subject: Mick...
Morning,
Just wanted to let you know Mick was getting a bit nervous about what you had planned for him - in the realm of how not knowing what's coming up can get to a person sort of way? Got something you can give him to help him settle down info wise?
Lorna moved out of the suite last night.

Subject: Amanda...
Had her laughing some yesterday and pointed out there's only so much blame she can heap on herself. Don't know if it'll stick, but I took a shot at it.
Spoke to her 'bout Yana too. Sooo. If Amanda starts tormenting her with the "sugar sweet and nice" routine... well, that may be my fault. Oops?
Alison
PS - Yana can take it. She's a big girl.
PPS - I think it's my turn to take you out to supper, what with everything's that been going on. Let me know when is good.

Subject: Training...
They say you're awake. I'll come down to the medlab later to see how you feel about the training session we already had set for today. No reason why we can't continue anyway, although we can always make the session shorter if your concentration is affected by pain medication or anything of the sort.

Date: 2004-11-02 08:31 pm (UTC)Shit. This is what I get for spending the last week going through the hard drives you and Nathan brought back, and more or less ignoring anything that didn't shout at me.
Yes, I think I'm in bad need of getting out of here. Dinner sounds good. I'll let you know when I'm free.

Date: 2004-11-02 08:37 pm (UTC)I'm going to need to pick your brains over those hard drives, you know. And in other news I have a talk coming up with Nathan when we're both ready for it and I don't think that he's going to like what I'm going to ask of him.
It's a not-a-date date. Either that or I'll kidnap you without warning. I'll make sure the trunk of the car is comfortable and all if I resort to underhanded methods. Promise.

Date: 2004-11-02 08:56 pm (UTC)Nate's probably got a couple of conversations he won't like coming up. He and I need to have a long talk about letting MacInnis lead him around by the nose, and about how in a perfect world, Nate would not get to make any decision regarding people from here doing things to fuck Mistra up.

Actually - I have MacInnis' email. Got it from Nathan this weekend. Not sure I can talk him entirely into not communicating with the man yet, but I'm initiating my own contact there and I intend to run interference as much as possible.
I'm going to ask Nathan to not go on another conditioning center mission. Agent retrieval, yes. Anything involving a conditioning center I'll ask he leave with me to handle. Not sure when we're having that conversation, but it's this week, at the very least. He can't go on another of those. Not with what I saw the last time.
I'm already doing the damn team leader thing, aren't I? Gah.

Regarding Mistra: Actually, I think we want to make damn sure that nothing can be tied back to here, anyway - there's only so pissed off we can afford Mistra to be - to far and they might come knocking. Which means that if the X-men go in to any Mistra facility, they can't let anyone that Nate knew about when he was taken back be seen or leave witnesses/records behind.
I've got Culley shutting down one of their bases that I found out about from the computers in the Virginia facility at the moment - mostly a storage/supplies facility, so it should put dent in their resources for a while. I'm due to hear from him in a couple of days. If we find out about any other Mistra bases in North America, though, unless they're time critcial jobs, I think we should just pass the intel on to Charlie's mates in the government, for now. Goes against my instincts, but I really don't want to chance Mistra working out that Xavier's is the source of a huge dose of misery for them...

We already have two of their field agents, Pete. First gens both, one a field commander and the other a second. It might be a just a bit late for that. Call me pessimistic but I think we probably got their attention a whole lot already when we got Nathan back from them. Oh - they already are getting intel on us. Now that I remember a conversation I had earlier today. Mick mentionned we'd drawn their attention already, via having Nathan here. They don't know much about our "command structure" though.
Look at it this way - conditionning facilities should be a priority. Time critical. Always. Supplies and intel networking, if we can get to by a back route? I'd like to get to those. A lot. But like you said, only if we can. Using auxiliaries for it I like... and I should probably kinda talk about that to Ororo and Scott. Eh. I will when they hunt me down, Scott is being scary about it anyway already.
Oh. Morgan. Anything we can find on Morgan. He's their current field commander. If Mick's conditioning was craking? I bet you Morgan's is too.
Grn. I'm making lists now. Scott is contaaagious.
