I'm sure it's none of my business, but I wanted to offer an ear in case you need one, to scream at, rant at, or just otherwise have available. Failing that, chocolate-covered espresso beans, or just some coffee. Feel free to tell me to go to hell for nosing in, but I thought I'd offer, just in case. I hate seeing you in an unhappy state.

I know it's Alison you usually go to for this kind of thing, but since it seems to be her you're upset with.. just know I'm a willing alternative, okay? If I can help in any way, just let me know.

Didn't want to wake you to mention this ('cos you're so gosh-darned cute when you're asleep), but I caved in to my 'worried friend' voice and offered Lorna an ear. And coffee. I'm not really expecting her to take me up on it, but I can hope.

I just thought you ought to know. Not sure why. So you don't worry she doesn't have anybody else to go to, maybe? I dunno. Something.

Want to go out tomorrow? (Or, well, today, since it's technically Wednesday as I send this?)

For what it's worth, I haven't heard any rumors. Granted, that doesn't mean they don't exist (I've never paid much mind to scuttlebutt), and I've always hated having rumors about myself flitting about, so I know how you feel. Not exactly, of course, but vaguely.

That's certainly fair enough. If you ever change your mind about that coffee, let me know. I've always enjoyed your company.

You don't sound rude. Tired and stressed, perhaps, but not rude. Maybe I just have really warped standards, but that wouldn't be much surprise.

Alison will probably kill me for it, but if it gives me an excuse to enjoy your company, even if it's just long enough to light your fag up.. sure. Even have a pack of Lights on hand. Just come nab me when you'd like to, I'm an easy bloke to find.
