Nate tells me you're out of your isolation room and doing better... I remember what he thinks of as 'doing better', though. Sort of the same standards he applies to 'I'm fine' when you ask him how he is. So I thought I'd check for myself. Plus I promised you I'd write, and I hadn't done that yet.

It's been odd, settling in with the Pack. I say odd because they're crazy people. Even with Domino not here. She and I have met before, see... I think I told you that? But she's off in Cambodia or some such place. The others are enough to deal with right now anyway. It's... sort of like Mistra, but not. (I almost typed home, there...) Like a funhouse mirror version of Mistra, almost. There's so much that's familiar and yet so much that's different.

Ani's thriving, of course. Counting the days until Domino comes back - I guess the two of them get along really, really well - and occasionally letting me out of her sight for whole minutes at a time. Of course, then one of the others just steps in. Theo plays a scary game of checkers.

I see why Nate and Bridge are so close. He's less crazy, in general.

I've got to go. David and Mina are here telling me that I need fresh air. I don't think it's actually possible to say no to Mina - at least, I haven't seen anyone here do it yet.

Now that I'm done laughing...

I am doing better. I can type, see? Even if it's slow going and all. (But you're right about Nathan - he'd say fine even if someone dropped an iceberg on his head.)

Of course they're crazy people, Mick. They hung out with Nathan for years and run about waving guns and doing generally crazy stuff. (We'll just leave Ms Kettle out of this now, mm?) As for the same yet not thing - the same patterns as before, only safer this time around, maybe?

Whole minutes at a time, huh? That's good. Just don't let her and Domino gang up on you. Use the puppy dog eyes on them. They won't stand a chance.

Bridge organizes everything to death. Nathan said so. S'all I'm saying. ;)

Don't let David take you up in a helicopter unless you like seeing the ground flash by way too close. Or trees, or roofs, or power lines, or - you get the idea. I enjoyed that myself, mind you.
